This is where Harry and Meghan are staying in Sydney

Words by Kristine Tarbert.

Prince Harry and Meghan touched down in Sydney today ahead of their first official royal tour.

They were whisked from the airport straight to Admiralty House in Sydney, which they will call home during their 16-day stint in Australia.

The regal residence in Kirribilli was built in 1842 and generally hosts government guests, and world leaders, including The Queen.

Prince Charles and Camilla have both visited the house. Prince William has been multiple times, staying there himself with Kate and baby George in 2014. It is also where Harry launched the 2018 Sydney Invictus Games in May last year.

The gorgeous waterside location brings views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The heritage-listed building was once the official residence for royal naval commanders.
