We've Found The Perfect Alternatives To Joanne's Favourite Green Jeans From 'Nobody Wants This'
Paris Fashion Week nights are all dinners and drinks and party, party, party. Right? Wrong! This season the style set are bunking off – or at least trying to – to cram in an episode (or 10) of the moreish Netflix romcom Nobody Wants This (the streamer’s precis: ‘An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi fall in love, but can their relationship survive their wildly different lives and meddling families?’).
As author of the industry’s favourite mover-and-shaker newsletter, Puck’s Line Sheet, Lauren Sherman chronicled: ‘If you’re not skipping Paris Fashion Week events to go back to your room and watch Nobody Wants This, what are you doing with your life?’
Everybody is obsessed with the charmingly absurd, reassuringly nostalgic (hello, Adam Brody aka Seth Cohen) yet spicy update on the romcom. And in time-honoured romantic comedy tradition, that means falling for the leading lady’s looks too (see: Julia Roberts in Notting Hill, Alicia Silverstone in Clueless, Meg Ryan in literally anything, Diane Keaton in Annie Hall).

Best of all, although finding a ‘newly single rabbi’ to fall in love with us might be a bit of ask, recreating the excellent jeans Bell wears in the show is a doddle.
High waisted, with a relaxed leg, we’ve seen the super-easy-to-wear styles identified as being Jesse Kamm's 'Handy Pants' trousers in forest green, currently available to buy in limited sizes for £364.
Fortunately, there are numerous iterations of the trousers online at the moment, we couldn't help but round up. Our favourite? The Arket Amber Loose Jeans.
Here are some other versions we're loving:
Other denim cameos to note in the show include a now sold out Sprwmn Blue Denim Bomber Jacket (see our edit of denim jackets here). She also proves that jeans and a nice top is a couple that will always happily co-exist: see the Christopher Esber cut-out design (available to buy in black) and Abercrombie & Fitch off-the-shoulder number (which sells for £45).
FYI Bell knows her way around denim IRL too: see the rigid, high-waisted jeans she wore heading into the Jimmy Kimmel studios dressed up with By Far Yasha pumps, a brown tank and gigantic Lafayette 148 tote. There’s also been her indigo denim take on Reformation’s hit Tagliatelle dress (you know the one, with the corseted bodice and full skirt). And she loves aptly named ‘Biggest Jean Jacket’ by Wrangler + STAUD, nonchalantly thrown on over a boho dress.
Romcoms might rely on relationship mishaps to thrust the plot along, but as Bell knows – great denim is always pleasingly straightforward.
