We're obsessed with Le Creuset's new petal-style casserole dish
Much to the delight of novice and expert chefs everywhere, Le Creuset's latest launch is inspired by a popular spring-flowering perennial to mark the changing of the seasons – and we're willing to bet that you're going to love this as much as we do.
The elegant new casserole dish has just been released for spring and it'll make for the most perfect addition to any kitchen, not just for a season, but for decades to come.
Le Creuset's new petal-style braiser
The iconic cookware brand's newest product is the cast iron petal shallow casserole, available in an elegant and fun shell pink and classic white colourway.
With a lid inspired by the French anemone flower, this enamelled cast iron braiser – measuring 26cm wide – is designed to be multifunctional; it can be used to cook and brown all types of food, and can be moved between heat sources, making it super versatile.
As with all Le Creuset casserole dishes, it's safe to use under the grill, on an induction, electric or gas hob, and can even be used in the oven up to 260 degrees. So if you're looking to brown something off before grilling it, this pan will eliminate the need for too much clean-up.
The handles will allow you to move it easily from hob to oven if required – but it's worth noting that generally, Le Creuset's handles get hot, so be sure to wear oven gloves.
It's also got an impressive capacity for a more shallow dish of 2.2L, and can even be placed in the freezer if you want to easily store any leftovers straight from the dish.
But enough about the details, what we really love about this Le Creuset piece is how stunning it's sure to look in every space, from traditional country kitchens to more modern homes.
