If you’re looking for more space — be it storage or otherwise — buying an additional guest unit or a tiny home to plop in your backyard can be a great way to reap the benefits of mini-house living without actually having to downsize in a meaningful way. It’s tempting to be able to carve out a little space just for yourself (or any future guests) at just a fraction of the cost of a real house, plus it’s a great way to add a bit more extra footage to your current living situation.

So, when I saw a new tiny house-storage shed combination on Wayfair that looks like the best of both worlds — and with major quaint cabin appeal — I had to click. Like its name suggests, Cedarshed’s Ranchhouse Wood Storage Shed is made out of western red cedar wood and it’ll make you feel like you’ve been transported to a fall leaf peeping getaway, thanks to its adorable wooden shutters, flower boxes, and a cozy front porch where you can sit out with a steaming PSL in the mornings.

The weather-resistant cabin-inspired design also features large double doors, wooden shingles, and a chimney decorated with a metal rooster for added ventilation.

The Cedarshed Ranchhouse — which measures almost 17 feet in width, 15 feet in diameter, and just over 10 feet in height — is also only $13,289, making it quite a bit cheaper than most of the other tiny homes that are available right now.

However, the wallet-friendly price does reflect some of the things that this tiny home doesn’t have — it does not come outfitted for power, plumbing, a kitchen, foundation, or bathroom — meaning that you may have to handle all of that yourself, or that this property is probably better suited to being a guest house attachment (after a bit of work is put in), a DIY crafting area, a tool or gardening space for plant parents, extra storage for the stuff you can’t fit into your house, or even a little personal space that you can decorate and hang out in, uninterrupted. The options are truly endless.

If you aren’t already sold on the charming aesthetic of this tiny home, Wayfair buyers praised the “cute cabin” and gave it a 4.8 stars out of 5 on the website. One happy person who was “very pleased” with their shed said that they would “recommend this shed to all my family and friends,” while another revealed their new “she-shed” was easy to put together. “They assembled it just as I ordered it online,” they wrote. “Now I can have my own space.”
