The Way Kylie Jenner Touches Timothée Chalamet Reveals She's *Super* Into Him
The dating lives of the Kardashian-Jenners will always be a hot topic of conversation. Between Kim’s most recent public relationship with Pete Davidson, Khloé’s on-again, off-again ‘ship with Tristan Thompson, and Kendall’s fascinating (former) tryst with Bad Bunny, there’s a lot to dive into.
Now, one of the hottest—and most unexpected—couples to emerge within the family is Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet. Kylie, 26, who shares two children with ex Travis Scott, was first rumored to be linked with Timothée, 28, back in April 2023, per the Daily Mail. However, they didn’t make their first public appearance together until Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour stop in Los Angeles last September, according to Page Six. (Go big or go home, right?)
And while Kimothée is still kind of a private couple, they’re making more and more public appearances. Most recently, they were spotted at the 2024 Golden Globes. Still, Kylie didn’t walk the red carpet with Timothée and instead, quietly snuck into the venue to sit with him during the ceremony—where these two were kissing and chatting the whole night.
To me, they look totally enamored. But to check my theory, Women’s Health turned to Karen Donaldson, a celebrity communication and body language expert, speaker, and best-selling author of Speak Like You Breathe: Straight Talk To Say What You Mean, Be Heard & Get Noticed for her expert opinion. Are these two in it for the long haul? Let’s find out.

They trust and care for each other.
Kylie and Timothée sat together at the US Open on September 10, 2023, and there was a fair amount of PDA. As for this handholding position over Kylie's shoulder, "that is somewhat of a casual yet connected gesture," Donaldson says. Since they're far apart but still touching, "it shows that they trust each other and they care for each other, and they're okay with distance between them both emotionally and physically," she adds.
Timothée is relaxed around Kylie.
Here, they share a kiss. Since Timothée's face is fully fronted, or fully turned towards Kylie, he's invested in this kiss, Donaldson says. And the way he places his hand on her back is a good sign, too—his fingers are spread open, meaning, they're relaxed. "It's a tender hold and it's a desire to connect," Donaldson says, adding that it's a mix between a casual form of PDA and being supportive. And since Timothée is holding the middle of Kylie's back, not the upper or lower parts, it seems that he is being caring and supportive.
When it comes to the kiss, though, Kylie *might* be feeling it more than him, since she's leaning in and her lips are open, aiming for a sensual kiss, while Timothée's are closed.
They're more than lovers.
Kimothée, as a couple, has a lot of tie signs—aka indicators that "couples highly care for each other, or couples are in love," Donaldson says. Here, their tie sign is that they both have their arms around each other in an embrace. This gesture is "signaling that they're at ease with each other, and they're more than just lovers—they're also friends," she adds. Additionally, their body language mirrors one another, which means they're connected emotionally, too, she says.
Kylie seeks security from Timothée.
On Jan. 7, Kylie sat with Timothée at the Golden Globes, where they took their PDA to the next level. While this pic looks a *little* staged, Donaldson says—maybe they were just caught at an awkward time and Kylie didn't get the chance to look at the camera.
Anyway, she's leaning a bit more into him while her hand is placed in her intimate space around the groin. "We only allow people who are close within those spaces," Donaldson says. "She wants to stay connected to him because she's bringing him into her space." But it can also mean that she's seeking security and comfort in this moment. Since she's a bit hunched over, making herself smaller, she might be a little uncomfortable. She's gaining security, though, from leaning into Timothée and holding his hand there.
By the way, how they're holding hands matters, too. They're maximizing their skin-to-skin surface that they can touch, which "increases the release of oxytocin, allowing people to feel good, safe, and secure," Donaldson adds.
She's supportive of him.
This is "an endearing kiss," Donaldson says. "It's not sensual" since his mouth isn't open. It's more of a sweet gesture, like you'd kiss a friend or family member you care about goodbye or hello. Since Kylie's eyes are closed, that signifies that she "wants to savor the moment," she adds. "She's right there with him, she's trying to block out everything else." This moment is just between the two of them for her, and she showed up to support him.
Kylie super into Timothée.
"Being physically connected to him is highly important for Kylie," Donaldson says. This gesture—especially the fact that she's initiating it while they're looking at something else—"tells us that they're close, it tells us that she's highly interested in the relationship," she adds. Not that Timothée isn't into it, but according to their gestures in these photos, she's initiating a lot of the physical touch, so there's a chance that she likes him a bit more than he likes her, Donaldson says.
Overall, though, their body language shows that this relationship still looks like new love. "When you're a newer relationship, at every given moment there's an essence or a feel or a need to be connected," she says. These two clearly aren't afraid to show PDA and like to stay close, so it looks like a healthy relationship where they're both engaged and happy, she adds.
