Waterloo Road’s Kym Marsh breaks her silence following the death of beloved dad
Waterloo Road and former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has opened up about the death of her beloved father.
The actress's father sadly passed away earlier this week at the age of 78 after being diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years ago.
Taking to Instagram, Marsh wrote: "For the first time in my life….I have no words."
She then added: "I love you dad. Always and forever. Rest easy Pops. Goodnight godbless."
The comments of the post have been flooded with support for the star's family.
Marsh's former partner, Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, wrote: "RIP Dave. Sending you all lots of love."
While her former Corrie co-star, Charlie Condou, wrote: "Oh Kym, I’m so so sorry. He was a truly wonderful man and the most fantastic Dad. You were blessed to have him. I’m sending you so much love darling xxx.."
Daniel Brocklebank, another former Corrie co-star, wrote: "Sending love Kym. I’m so sorry to read this. Your dad was always so lovely & warm. Love to you all xx
Following her father's death, Marsh's family issued a joint statement to the Press Association, in which they said: "It is with immense sadness that we confirm the passing of David Marsh.
"A much loved husband, dad, grandad, great grandad and friend to many, David passed away peacefully at home yesterday surrounded by his family.
"We are truly heartbroken and ask for privacy at this incredibly difficult time."
