Watch Throw Down's Keith Brymer Jones' new renovation show
Keith Brymer Jones is an expert potter, and best known as a judge on the Great Pottery Throw Down. But now he's undertaken a new adventure, which has been filmed for his new show Our Welsh Chapel Dream.
Keith and his partner, actor Marj Hogarth, have bought a derelict chapel in North Wales, which they plan to transform into a home and pottery studio.
The pair, who currently live in a flat in Margate, will take us with them on their renovation in their new show, Our Welsh Chapel Dream, which starts on Sunday 5 May on Channel 4.
The pair bought a grade II listed chapel in the North Wales coastal town of Pwllheli. The Capel Salem was built in 1862 and features large arched windows, beautifully decorated ceilings and a Sunday school annexe.
Keith has been taking to his Instagram to share updates from the renovation. He posted a gallery of photos of he and Marj inside the chapel, showing the beautiful ceiling of the main chapel, beautiful pillars and glimpses of the other smaller rooms in the building.
Alongside the pictures, Keith wrote: "A couple of productive days in Pwllheli meeting builders, architects, and other such wonderful people.
He continued: "It's slowly coming together for the big onslaught of work about to begin. Marj and I are daring to believe we may actually be here this year .
"Making my first pot in the [new studio] will be a momentous occasion and dare I say emotional."
Speaking ahead of the release of the show, Keith said: "It’s wonderful being able to do a real project with Marj.
"And, lo and behold, even down to the mortuary slab as our kitchen island, there's hardly anything we disagree on with aesthetics or even practicalities."
We can't wait to see Keith and Marj's renovation journey – it's going to be an emotional watch!
Our Welsh Chapel Dream starts on Sunday 5 May on Channel 4.
