It's been two decades since Natasha Bedingfield's pop hit 'Unwritten' was released and on the song's twentieth anniversary, it still remains possibly one of the most heart-warming anthems of all time.

Currently sitting at number 13 in the UK singles charts, and with over 600 million streams on Spotify, 'Unwritten' is one of the best-loved feel good songs of all time. Whether you were first introduced to the song through Bedingfield's performance at the 'Concert for Diana' in 2006 or when it became the theme song for MTV's The Hills, or through it's resurgence on TikTok in 2021, there's no denying it's an inter-generational hit, loved by all.

So just as we thought the song couldn't get any more wholesome, we were proven wrong when watching the People's Choice Awards.

Bedingfield joined Anyone But You Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell as they presented the award for Best Country Female Country Artist at the show on Sunday night. Teasing viewers of the oncoming moment, the duo referenced a scene from the film where Powell's character (Ben) is feeling anxious, and is calmed down by Bea (played by Sweeney) singing 'Unwritten' to calm him down.

While on the stage, Sweeney asked Powell 'Do you want me to do that thing that calm you down?' which then led to the audience chanting 'Unwritten'. Bedingfield then appeared from backstage and performed the song with the pair and for the crown.

Bedingfield, who comes from a family of musicians is the younger sister of Daniel Bedingfield, a fellow Noughties pop-star who is most known for his album Gotta Get Thru This. While in her mid-twenties, Natasha wrote the song for their youngest brother, Joshua, on his 14th birthday, hoping to ease his worries of what to do with his future.
