Watch The Moment Stuntman Smashes Backflop Record With Terrifying 10-Meter Drop

This is the jaw-dropping moment a man launched himself backwards from a 10-meter (32.8ft) diving board. The stunt saw Norwegian daredevil Simen Mathisen land flat on his back in what he claims is the highest-planned backflop ever attempted. Mathisen, known for his extreme jumps, pulled off the stomach-churning feat without injury though he admitted he was “black and blue for two days” from the brutal impact. Mathisen, who has spent six years perfecting bellyflops and backflops from 5 meters, had previously attempted a 7.5-meter jump in December 2024. But after searching high and low, he found no evidence of anyone deliberately going higher - so he set out to make history. The audience erupted in shock as he slammed into the water, but moments later, cheers rang out as Mathisen emerged unscathed.
