It's undeniably one of the biggest music events of the year, with Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA and Shania Twain taking to the iconic pyramid stage this year and we're already counting down the days until 2025 Glastonbury comes around. But how do we actually secure these extremely hard to get golden tickets?

Last year they sold out in less than an hour and are likely to do again this time around. With the festival taking a year off in 2026 for its fallow year (where they let the ground rest and recover), it's going to feel even more intense to get secure tickets for 2025.

So with this in mind, we've gathered all the essential information about Glasto tickets and crucially our top 10 tips for securing those tickets. You can thank us later!

What has changed with the ticket process for Glastonbury 2025?

Ahead of the release of Glastonbury 2025 tickets in just over a month, the festival has revealed a change to how you buy tickets for next year's event.

Unlike in previous years where you had to refresh the holding page, going forward with ticket buying this year, customers will be using an automatic queue system, which will see them "randomly assigned a place in the queue" and the later you join the queue, the further back in the queue you'll be.

Once you're in the queue, a loading bar will be displayed which will show how close to the front of the queue you are. If you then make it to the front of the queue you will be asked to enter the registration numbers and post codes of up to six people you're booking for. You'll then have 10 minutes to enter your details, but this doesn't confirm your tickets.

Your tickets are only confirmed once the payment has been processed.

It's similar to the booking system used to get tickets for Taylor Swift. So basically, if you survived getting Eras Tour tickets, Glastonbury should be a breeze.

When do Glastonbury 2025 tickets go on sale?

Get ready people as the tickets for Glastonbury 2025 officially go on sale on 6pm GMT Thursday 14th November for the coach tickets and 9am Sunday 17th November for the standard tickets.

What are the different types of Glastonbury tickets?

When it comes to Glastonbury, there are two types of tickets available:

  • Coach tickets - these are tickets which mean you book to travel to and from the festival in a specific coach. You are given an e-ticket for the coach boarding, and then once on board the coach, you're then given your physical ticket for the festival. So this means you can't swap tickets, or go on a different coach to the festival as you won't get in.

  • General admission - these tickets don't include your transport to the festival and usually are sold a few days after the coach tickets.

When is Glastonbury 2025?

Ok, it's time to book off your annual leave now in the hopes of getting a ticket. In 2025 Glastonbury will be on from 25th to 29th June.

In order to get a ticket to Glastonbury you need to register ahead of time.

The good news is registration is already open for 2025, so at least you can get that step out of the way now. Head to the official Glastonbury website to register.

How much are Glastonbury 2025 tickets?

The tickets for 2025 have been confirmed to cost £373.50 per ticket.

If you're then going to bring a car, this usually costs £55 for a parking pass, or £200 to £300 if you plan on bringing a campervan, depending on the vehicle's size.

12 tips to getting Glastonbury tickets

When it comes to actually securing the tickets, it can be a tad overwhelming. Afterall, it's millions of people trying to bag one of 210,000 tickets. So with this in mind, we've rounded up some of our best tips to (hopefully) help you secure tickets for 2025.

  • Make sure you're registered - it's literally already open, so you have no excuse not to do it and you won't get a ticket without it.

  • There's only one official ticket provider for Glastonbury - See Tickets - so only head to that site as every other website is likely a scam.

  • It should go without saying, but make sure you've also got enough money in your bank account for six deposits if you're the one doing the booking.

  • Make a group of six, and join other groups of six, so if one of you gets through they can then buy the tickets.

  • Get prepared - once in your group of six, make a list/spreadsheet of everyone's names, registration numbers and postcodes so you can simply copy and paste this straight in rather than fiddling about checking names.

  • Triple check - before the big day, double and triple check the names, numbers and postcodes are correct. You don't want to be the one responsible for promising your mate a ticket, only to have their name misspelt and they can't get in.

  • If booking a coach ticket, try for a town and date you think is going to be less popular, to increase chances.

  • If you do get tickets (lucky you) check your email straight away, as well as your junk folder just in case for the ticket confirmation.

  • If you don't get tickets the first time around, enter ticket competitions as you could always get lucky!

  • There's always the opportunity to attend the festival as a volunteer for a charity like Oxfam, who do lots of work at the festival every year.

Failing the above, there's always the chance you'll be discovered as the next Sabrina Carpenter and be whisked onto stage by next June.

What's the deal with resale Glastonbury tickets?

If you don't get tickets the first time around, then don't panic too much as there's always a chance to get them again in the re-sale, which usually happens in the April, two months before the festival.

You again will need to be registered to ensure you have a chance to get tickets, and this time around you can only try for two coach tickets and four general admission tickets.
