At this point, Ugg isn't just a footwear brand; it's a fashion phenomenon with legs. Each new generation is falling head over heels for the ubiquitous shearling shoe line, which has spawned a slew of low-priced lookalikes over the years — and I've found one the best ones yet over at Walmart. The Joyspun platform clog slippers are a doppelganger for the Ugg Disquette slippers, except their price tag looks much different: Walmart's is a fraction of the price, starting at just $9 (yes, really!).

Why is it a good deal? 💰

The better question is, why spend more than $100 on slippers when you can have all the style, support and coziness for $9 to $13 (depending on color)? The upper on these Joyspuns is even real suede, just like the original (the fur is faux), yet it's still a mere fraction of the price of a name-brand pair.

Going barefoot at home has its pros and cons, but slippers like these with non-slip soles are the way to go if you want to prevent falls and injuries and keep your feet clean and comfy.

"These are the most comfortable slippers I have ever worn! They do have a bit of a higher sole on them, but that was the selling point for me because you don't have to worry about getting your feet wet," wrote one honest reviewer, who added that wearing the slippers is "like walking on a cloud."

Added another fan: "Incredibly warm and comfortable. Great price for real suede. The Interior may not be sheepskin but feels amazing and warm. Well made too."

Other shoppers felt that the low cost was a no-brainer. "Paying over $100 for a pair of slippers is just insane to me, especially for something that may not last for more than a year. I love that I can wear these with leggings or jeans and still look cute," one wrote. "Honestly these outdid my Ugg slippers." Said another: "Awesome quality for the price. It's even worth picking up more than one pair and stocking up."

A handful of buyers are so into Joyspuns that they're wearing them outside the house, too. "Love, love, love these. I wear them for school drop-off. They are comfortable, warm and well made," an impressed parent wrote.

Some shoppers say they're stiff at first and need to be broken in. Patience is key.

"I have wider feet and these are still extremely comfortable, but you need to get used to them and break them in first. I compared them to my real Uggs and there's no difference in comfort," one customer said.

This buyer agreed: "At first they were hard to walk in and I thought I needed to get a bigger size. They were tight because they needed to be broken in; After a few days, I noticed they were magically easier to walk in."
