The savvy superstore just dropped a pair of $10 sweatpants that had me doing a triple take, because it's identical to a Fabletics pair that's 9x the price at a whopping $90 (for sweats!). Walmart's thick-and-cozy, wide-legged Athletic Works Fleece Pants are already a bestseller and the recipient of almost 1,500 perfect five-star ratings. They're also proof positive that athleisure can look structured and put-together without costing a fortune. Casual Fridays just got a very comfy makeover.
These cotton-blend, pull-on pants are even made with partially recycled materials, just like the designer version.
Trust me when I say this will probably be the best $10 you've spent in quite a while. Think about it: it's cheaper than two Starbucks lattes, plenty of drugstore mascaras and even most supermarket wines — but these sweats will last a lot longer than any of the above. "Smooth cotton on the outside and warm soft fleece inside. Perfect! Straight leg, true to size, comfortable elastic waist that doesn't dig in, big pockets, rounded hips, moves with you. I could even sleep in these," another fan wrote.
These Athletic Works sweats are even adaptable. "I purchased these for my 70-year-old mom. We love the open leg vs. the jogger style for her due to the swelling in her ankles at times. These are a winner," a reviewer said.
But are they really warm enough? Yes, indeed! One customer wrote, "This morning was 20 degrees not including wind chill and my legs are warm."
Shoppers also love the versatility of these fleece pants. "I can wear these during winter and not get cold. Great to throw on for a walk, a trip to the grocery store or wear around the house," one reported. Another agreed, saying they "work well indoors and out for running errands."

Athletic Works Fleece Pants were an ideal fit for most but not all. "This is a good quality product at a very reasonable price. However, the sizing chart is way off. The pants were way too big overall, and the length would be appropriate for a tall person," one shopper wrote.
"I like the fit except they're too long for shorter people," and "soft, comfy but too long," were a few other fit-related gripes. Some customers say that if you're in doubt, order one size down.
