Don't Come For Us... But Waitrose Just Revealed Its Christmas Range For 2022

No — this isn't fake news. Waitrose really did just reveal its Christmas range for 2022, and we can't honestly believe we're already discussing what we're going to eat for this year's festivities (although, we're also quite thrilled at the same time).

So, let's get straight to it, shall we?

First up and to get the party started, Waitrose has launched a range of standout canapés including King Prawn Curry Melts, Balti Baubles, No Beef Empanadas and Christmas Dinner Sausage Rolls.

But if there's one bite-sized delight we're especially excited to try, it's the supermarket's brand-new Nduja and Burrata Profiteroles. We're talking savoury choux pastries filled with creamy burrata, a rich cheddar and mozzarella sauce and spicy ’nduja. Oh yes... profiteroles, but not as you know them.

Not stopping there, and also making for a cracking charcuterie addition, say hello to Waitrose's Parmesan & Cracked Black Pepper Panettone. A supermarket first, this Italian-inspired cake is made with butter, parmesan and a sprinkle of black pepper.

If you're fan of cheese, then you're going to go bonkers for Waitrose's Potted Stilton, Stratford Blue Truckle with Pear & Kentish Cider Glaze and Vegan Melting Chill Bake (it's served in a terracotta pot, and is meant to taste amaze dipped with warm ciabatta).

For the main event, there's everything from Bronze Feathered Turkey Crowns to Festive Peking Duck and Mushroom Jewelled Roasts.

The duck comes partly deboned and rubbed with festive spices, glazed with a mulled wine hoisin, with aromatic pulled duck and pork stuffing balls and a shimmering duck crackling, and it's just about the most insane-looking centrepiece we've ever laid eyes on...

If that wasn't enough, the supermarket's also got a Pork Jewelled Stuffing Wreath, Cauliflower, Leek & Brussels Sprout Truffle Gratin, Treacle Cured Festive Gammon and Crackling Pork Belly Feast.

Now, onto desserts: arguably the best part of any meal, right? This year you can gobble down Heston's Fig & Pear Mince Pies in Triple Cheese Pastry, along with a Negroni Stollen, Clementine Cheesecake and Giant Cracking Penny. But if you're looking for an absolute showstopper, it's got to be Waitrose's Limoncello Pandoro or Festive Baklava Collection.

The Limoncello Pandoro is made with real butter and features a tangy limoncello filling, making for refreshingly zesty alternative to a traditional festive cake. While the Festive Baklava comes with five variations, all made with layers of filo pastry soaked in syrup, and flavoured with fruit, nuts, spices and chocolate. Y-U-M.
