'I put Third Space Battersea to the test'Third Space

Working out is one thing, but when you get the chance to indulge in a trip to a luxury health club and fitness space, it’s guaranteed to take your next gym sesh to a whole other level.

The luxury wellness space has boomed in recent years, and as people start to prioritise and invest in their fitness journeys, they're more likely to indulge in a truly decadent experience.

I recently had the chance to head down to Third Space's brand-new Battersea location for a killer spin class and to try out the space for myself - and I may just be a convert.

What is the Third Space Battersea location like?

Third Space knows its stuff when it comes to providing high-quality gyms while maintaining an air of luxury and elegance. Even Becks and Prince Harry have been known to get their sweat on at the brand's various locations across London, and Battersea is no different.

Located in the multimillion pound Battersea Power Station development, the gym is just a short walk from the station. Inside, you're greeted by friendly reception staff, and, of course, there's a smoothie bar for pre or post-workout pick-me-ups.

The actual gym offers an array of spaces to suit any type of workout you have on the schedule. Hit a new PB in the lifting area or get your cardio in on the treadmills and bikes. But one of the best features the gym has to offer is over 100 classes across Pilates, yoga, spin, strength work, and conditioning.

I was lucky enough to try out the brand-new Just Ride class (instructed by the effervescent Lucie, who kept our spirits and heart rates up, up, up for the whole 45-minute class), and I highly rate it. The class is all about 'losing yourself to the music' and just riding to the beat. It honestly felt more like a club than a workout class, thanks to the changing LED lights and thumping EDM music - which made it highly enjoyable for this HIIT-resistant, reformed party girl.

If you're after a dip, you can dive into the cool waters of the performance pool and then unwind at the wet spa recovery area, which includes a hydro pool, Finnish sauna, and steam room - lush.

If you ask me, the true testament to a luxury gym is its changing room amenities and Third Space truly delivers. The spaces are clean, quiet, and packed with goodies—from cosmetics and beauty products to hair tools—so you can leave the gym feeling refreshed and renewed.

Can members bring guests?

Yes! This is a great feature from Third Space, where members can bring up to three guests per trip, so you can work out with a friend. There are some limitations to this, so it's always best to check with the team ahead of time.

How much does it cost?

Let's be honest, it's not cheap. But when is it when it comes to luxury?

A club membership will set you back £220 a month, or £245 if you want access to any of the other 10 locations across London. With this membership, you have access to all club spaces and classes available.
