It was a union that went down in pop culture history, and today Victoria and David Beckham are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in style by recreating their iconic purple outfits from their special day.

Taking Throwback Thursday to a whole new level, the couple posted a snap in their matching purple outfits, designed by Antonio Berardi, sitting proudly upon twin thrones.

Captioning the post, “Look what we found… 😅💜”, Victoria looks almost regal in her purple and red dress, featuring a leg slit and flower detailing. Meanwhile David laughs lovingly at his wife in a matching suit.

2 became 1 when Posh and Becks tied the knot on 4 July 1999 in Luttrellstown Castle, in Ireland, exchanging vows in front of an intimate 29 guests – including Victoria’s Spice Girls bandmates Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C.

Despite the 25-year jump, the couple look as fabulous as they did on the day in a second throwback post. Victoria captioned it: “Yep, still got it! 🤣 Can’t believe it’s been 25 years and they still fit! 💜💍 We love you so much @BrooklynPeltzBeckham @RomeoBeckham @CruzBeckham #HarperSeven xxxx”

As if we didn't need any more proof that the Beckhams are couple goals, Victoria reminisced with extra behind-the-scenes pics of the journey to the big day. In her caption, she wrote: "Looking back on the days leading up to our wedding 25 years ago brings back so many amazing memories…"

Featuring adorable snaps of baby Brooklyn, David determinedly writing his vows and Victoria trying on her exquisite Vera Wang wedding dress, fans wished the couple a happy anniversary. One commented, "This is epic, the wedding of a lifetime!!!"

The Beckhams had their eldest son, Brooklyn, now 25, four months before they were married, and went on to welcome Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper Seven, 12.

Appearing on the SmartLess podcast back in May, David reflected on his 2023 Netflix documentary, Beckham, which charted his rise from humble beginnings to international fame with Victoria by his side.

“I don’t know how we got through the last 27 years, but we did and we have an amazing family, we have amazing businesses and we’re happy,” he told hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett.
