Victoria Beckham was a picture of elegance at son Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding on Saturday in a shimmering bias cut silver satin evening gown with lace embroidery around the neckline and sides.

She shared an image snapped by British Vogue on her Instagram with the caption "Proud mum and dad. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Beckham" tagging her son Brooklyn and his new bride Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Fans went wild over the dress commenting, ‘Absolutely stunning’ and ‘Can't love your dress more!!!!’ [sic]

The international fashion designer later took to her Instagram Stories to reveal further details of her stunning self-designed silver gown.

The dress, which was the first item produced by Victoria Beckham couture in the brand's London Atelier, took six members of the London Atelier team five days to create. "It's been a labour or love, and I am so grateful to my incredible team for creating something so beautiful for me," she wrote.

The bespoke slinky silver fabric was reportedly inspired by the moon's reflection on the sea at night, and was created by one of VB's favourite fabric mills in Italy. "Its like liquid metal and hangs so beautifully," she added.

The lace detailing was created from three separate lace fabrics, layered on top of each other to create a new look, and then hand sewn onto the bespoke fabric.

The mum-of-four pulled her hair back into a loose bun to allow the dress and a large diamond and gold necklace to do the talking.

The announcement of the young couple's engagement back in July 2020 came as no big surprise, given their tendency for PDAs and Brooklyn’s open declarations of love on his own Insta feed.

More recently on Valentine’s Day, he wrote: "Happy Valentine’s to my gorgeous fiancé x I’m so lucky to be able to spend the rest of my life with you ❤️ love you so much xx."

In a similar outpouring of love on Peltz’s birthday earlier this year he wrote, "Happy birthday to the most gorgeous woman in the world x I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to call you mine x i fall more in love with you every single day and I can not wait to grow old with you ❤️❤️ I hope you have the BEST birthday xx I love you with all my heart xx."

The groom revealed he will now be known as Brooklyn Joseph Peltz Beckham while his wife will become Nicola Anne Peltz Beckham, leading some fans to question why his own mother Victoria Beckham accidentally missed off the ‘Peltz’ in her two separate posts on Instagram.

Brooklyn’s family are clearly delighted to welcome their new daughter-in-law into the family though, so no doubt the honeymoon couple will let Victoria off this little slip-up amidst her excitement.
