US Adult Obesity Rates Stabilize, But Severe Obesity Still Rising
The CDC's latest report shows that around 40% of U.S. adults are obese, the first time in over a decade the obesity rate has not increased, CBS News reports. The CDC's National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey estimates the adult obesity rate at 40.3%, based on data from 2021 to 2023, slightly down from 2020's 41.9%.
