The Undateables star Fats Timbo in tears as she gets engaged – 6 years after finding fame on show

Fats first shot to fame on Channel 4's The Undateables. But now, she has found her perfect match as she announced her engagement to her boyfriend of four years, Alan Laszczak.

Alan, a photographer who she didn't meet on the show, proposed during their romantic getaway to Thailand. Fats shared the exciting news on Instagram on Tuesday.

The TikTok sensation flaunted her massive diamond ring in a creative video of the proposal and captioned it: 'Alan proposed! And I said yes!!!

“From the day we met I knew you were my person. Over the last 4 years you have changed my life for the better. I can't wait to be your wife.”

Alan posted the same video on his Instagram and wrote: 'Only gone and popped the question and she said yess!!

“I love you with all my heart you are my soulmate, I've known it for a while now and just had to take action, this day turned out perfectly I'm gassed I can wait for the wedding and our bright future together!”

Comedian Fats, who was born with dwarfism but prefers the term 'little person', has amassed a whopping 2.9 million followers on TikTok and over 300,000 followers on Instagram. She is known for her hilarious skits and isn't shy about poking fun at herself.

Her fiancé Alan is also a social media enthusiast and shares his fitness journey as someone living with cerebral palsy.

We all remember her from the quirky 2018 dating show The Undateables, known for its intriguing line-up of interesting singles with various challenges looking for love.

Despite raising a few eyebrows for its title in the past, Fats candidly tells us that she too initially had some reservations about appearing on it.

She previously voiced her concerns back in 2023, where she admitted: “I didn't like the name whatsoever, that's why I declined initially.

“But then I thought about the bigger picture. I was very young, I was 20 and I thought I could find love.”

Fats went on to say: 'Also, the first time I ever saw a Black little person was on The Undateables and I thought: "What if I do that for other people? " So, I changed my mind and I messaged them.

"It was a great experience to be honest with you. Although a lot of people say "you're not undateable" and I know it!

"But I'm glad I went on there and showed people my personality and that's where I started my journey. I'm proud to say I did."

Fats and Alan are just one out of the line of couples engaged from the show.
