Here’s the ultimate Disney World packing list for kids and babies
If you’ve landed on this page, you’re more than likely seeking some inspiration for your Disney World packing list for your kids. Whether you’re traveling to Walt Disney World with a three-month-old or a fourteen-year-old, it is an enormous undertaking. After all, you’re likely spending thousands of dollars to experience the magic of the property’s four theme parks and two water parks as well as the countless restaurants and shops. While vacation may be relaxing, it is important to prepare to ensure your trip will be as seamless and magical as possible.
First thing’s first. When creating your Disney World packing list for kids, keeping an eye on the weather is pivotal to packing all of the right items and leaving what you don’t need at home.
Understanding Disney’s guidelines
When preparing for your upcoming travels, it’s also important to be knowledgeable about what you can and cannot bring into the theme parks. One of the most critical regulations to be aware of when traveling with children who use strollers is the required measurements. Strollers greater than 31 inches in width and 52 inches in length are not allowed into the theme parks nor are stroller wagons.
Disney has strict security protocols, so be mindful that your bags and other personal belongings are subject to search any time you are on property.
Essentials for every Disney trip
In addition to creating your Disney World packing list for kids, there are other items that can be added to your pre-arrival checklist including purchasing tickets and making theme park reservations. Theme park reservations are required and theme park availability changes daily according to the calendar. It is recommended to purchase your theme park tickets and reserve your park reservations earlier than later to secure a spot at the parks of your choice.
The Magicband and Magicband+ are popular items at the Walt Disney World Resort. Although they are not required to have a fun-filled vacation, they do make a lot of things easier including scanning into the theme parks, scanning in for Genie+ or Lightning Lane time frames, and opening the door to your Walt Disney World hotel room.
We also recommend downloading the MyDisneyExperience App to a smartphone to check wait times, entertainment offerings, park hours, and make dining reservations–this app will be of great service during your trip. If you plan on purchasing the Disney Genie+ service to experience shorter wait times for certain attractions, you can do so at midnight the day of your visit and select the attractions you’d like to start your day with starting at 7 a.m.
To help expedite your Disney World packing process, we’ve developed a list of what we recommend packing for babies as well as what we recommend packing for kids. Read on for our must-have trip essentials that can consider packing.

This 15-ounce bottle is the perfect size and is equipped with a flip-up straw and a leak-proof lid. We highly recommend adding this to your Disney World packing list for kids.
