How does the UK match up in the World Sex Toy Rankings?
Sex toys are big business. Recent statistics reveal that the UK sex toy business is now worth £250 million a year. But turns out that when it comes to rampant rabbits and the like some nations are way hornier than us Brits.
The World Sex Toy Rankings have been released, which order the countries of the world based on how frequently its population search for a variety of sex toys.
And though us Brits might believe we’d be worthy of first place, Vouchercloud has revealed that it is actually the Danes who are the most sex toy-savvy. Those residing in Denmark make 118 yearly searches per 1,000 Internet users helping them reach the G top spot.
The UK isn’t even sex-toy happy enough to nab second place, nope that honour was reserved for Sweden who made 115 searches, followed by the randy lot from Greenland (108) and our saucy American counterparts who racked up 104 searches per 1,000. Maybe the launch of the next-gen sex dolls helped their cause?
Us Brits limped into 5th place with a mere 96 searches.
While European countries certainly dominated the list, Australia did just about sneak into the top 10 with 82 searches.
But despite Japan having it’s own penis festival it only made it to 43rd with 44 searches.
To get the saucy statistics Vouchercloud looked at 18 popular sex-toy-search-terms which ranged from the relatively vanilla ‘dildos’ and ‘vibrators’ to the slightly raunchier ‘jiggle balls’ and ‘cock rings’ – and translated them into every Google-available language in order to rank every country by their sex toy searches.
Time for the UK to up our sex toy game!
