U.S. Air Force Transform Military Aircraft Into Rudolph The Reindeer. The U.S. Air Force embraced the holiday season by turning a massive military transport plane into a life-sized version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. At Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas, the 19th Maintenance Squadron gave a C-130A Hercules a festive makeover, swapping its standard black nose for a bright red one to match Santa's iconic reindeer. According to the Air Force, the display outside the base serves to showcase "the community's collective effort to support one another, boost morale, and spread holiday spirit”.
