On Wednesday, Vanity Fair published an exclusive look into Greta Gerwig's upcoming remake of Little Women and, to put it lightly, Twitter went nuts. The photos give an inside look into the characters and setting of the film, with a glimpse at what Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, and Eliza Scanlen will look like as the March sisters. There are also images of Timothée Chalamet, who plays Laurie; Laura Dern, who plays Marmee; and Meryl Streep, who plays Aunt March. (Insert very loud scream here.)

The film, which is set to come out in December, is based on the 1868 novel by Louisa May Alcott, and Gerwig told Vanity Fair that the beloved story "feels like autobiography." She said, "When you live through a book, it almost becomes the landscape of your inner life. … It becomes part of you, in a profound way."

Ronan spoke with the magazine about what it was like to act alongside Chalamet, her real-life friend and Ladybird co-star. (Just wait until you see the photos of the two of them together!) They play close friends in the movie and Ronan said, "I loved that in Lady Bird, he was the one that broke my heart, but I got to break his heart in Little Women."

But enough recap. Onto the reactions! Below, some of the best, funniest tweets about these glorious photos of Little Women:
