- What's up, everyone. My name is Tway. I'm a content creator and chef and welcome to kitchen et cetera, the place where I put a viral TikTok recipes to the test. On today's episode, I'm taking it classic Italian dish and we all know and love and turning it on its head. I'm talking about upside down pizza. So let's get started.

All right, let me give you a quick rundown of the ingredients I'm using. And when it comes to pizza, you can use whatever toppings that you want, but these are the ones that I'm using. So I have just regular button mushrooms. I love that texture. Jalapenos to give that little spice to balance out the sweetness from the pineapples, shredded mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, ancient grain pizza dough, pepperoni, and pineapples. I know, I can already feel all the eye rolls. I love it, so I don't care.

OK, so upside down pizza, that means we are starting with our toppings. I'm going to add some pineapple chunks in here. So make sure to spread it around so I can get it in every single bite. Then mushrooms, same thing. Then jalopenos, and then our pepperoni. Let's make a circle all around. Then we have our cheese. Oh, this is so weird starting backwards. Then we have our marinara sauce. Here we go. It's good to have sauce in every single bite that we take.

So now all the toppings are pretty much done. We're going to go ahead and start rolling out our pizza dough. So my oven is preheating to 400 degrees. I'm going to start on the dough. I'm going to flour my surface and flour my rolling pin. Fresh dough. Now we're only going roll it out until we feel that it can cover the size of the pan that you're using. Let's give it a whirl.

We also need to tuck it so we can create a crust. So let's see. Oh, Wow, perfect. All right, I'm going to tuck the edges just so we can create crust for the pizza. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil so the dough doesn't dry out. And it is ready for the oven. Look at this. OK, it's actually cooked. 3, 2, 1. Oh, I felt something. Oh my God. OK, this kind of looks like a pizza, it kind of looks like a nightmare, but we're still going to try it.

Let's cut into this beauty. So my first thought when I first took it out of the pan, it was the ugliest pizza that I've ever seen. Hopefully, this tastes better than it looks, so I'm just going to take a piece. All right, cheers. It's not that bad, but maybe just try using less dough just so the dough can be thinner and so it will be a little bit more crispy. I would think I would just stick to making pizza right side up. I definitely think that this does not deserve a chef's kiss. Well, that was an interesting journey. Thank you so much for joining me. I'm Tway and I'll see you guys next time. Peace.
