Tulisa breaks silence on I'm A Celeb no-show and wiped Insta with emotional video
Tulisa Contostavlos left the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle on Monday night's episode, but after snubbing the show's spin-off and failing to make an appearance on it on Tuesday night, the singer has spoken out on Instagram to say she needed to "take time out for me" and "I've still got my little demons."
Sharing a video to "clear some things up", Tulisa explained that she felt "overwhelmed" by the attention. She told her followers: "Hey guys, I'm just doing a little video to clear a few things up. When I first came out of the jungle, I felt fine first of all and then that evening, my friends went to bed and I was on my Instagram, just trying to have a casual scroll at some funny stuff.
"I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding - in all the most positive way, but because it's been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to feel a little bit overwhelmed. And I was like, do you know what? I need to just take a little bit of time for me and just chill. This is all just feeling a bit much at the moment.

"I've archived all my stuff to do with the jungle and then, when the time is right and I've had time to process, I'm going to make my own reels of my best bits that I really like. Because remember, I haven't been doing my own stuff. The way it's being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would be doing stuff."
She continued to say: "It's ok to feel a bit overwhelmed, I've been out of the spotlight for a long time and I'm still trying to over come those things. You know, I've still got my little demons. Doesn't mean I'm going to go and hide under a rock for another 10 years. It just means I need a little bit of time to just process and you know, get right with my thoughts."
"Thank you to ITV and I'm A Celeb for being really understanding and patient with me and you know, mental health is important and I am super grateful for all the love and support I've had. I just get overwhelmed, I'm a bit of an introvert. I've been in a jungle with people I'd only just met for two and half weeks and then I've come out and I've seen loads of attention and I'm like 'woah this is a lot.' And I just need a little bit of a breather."
Tulisa also wanted to clear up comments she made on Lorraine yesterday about 'fake' campmates, saying: "Also, I just want to clarify I do not think any of my campmates are fake.
"I was having a conversation on Lorraine and what I was trying to say was, typical me just thinking out loud. Everyone in there is going to have one or two individuals that they are way more close with than others. And that when we get out, is when you are really going to see those friendships get nurtured and really become your friends for life.
"I'm friends with everyone. I love my jungle buddies, I love my jungle fam. But there are going to be friendships that people have that really, really get nurtured and become something that is wow this is a friend for life."
When Tulisa became the third star to be voted out of the jungle on Monday after Jane Moore and Dean McCullough, she shocked viewers by failing to show up on ITV2 spin-off show, Unpacked. Fans then noticed that she'd wiped her entire social media feed of any I'm A Celeb pics, despite originally sharing photos and videos of her lounging by the pool and sipping on cocktails.
Then, in the interview with Lorraine Kelly, the singer appeared to suggest that certain campmates were being "fake" for the cameras. When asked by Lorraine if she feels as though she's made friends for life in the jungle, Tulisa paused before she said: "I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life. But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out. Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We'll see..." she mused.
