Trinny Woodall has long been one of our go-to style icons, but what we particularly love about the endless fashion inspiration she serves, is how colourful, uplifting and wearable her looks tends to be.

Case in point: the rainbow crochet dress she recently modelled to bring some sunshine to a decidedly rainy British summer.

Posted as part of her "Friday Twinning" Instagram series with her Trinny London video director, Chloe Dall'Olio, Trinny can be seen "spreading the joy" in a seriously eye-catching dress by London-based designer Olivia Rubin (tip: find loads of her fabulously fun clothing heavily discounted over at The Outnet now).

The dress in question is the Mirabel Pointelle Knit Maxi Dress, knitted with multicoloured yarns in a playful scallop pattern and available in sizes XS to XXXL (equivalent to a UK 4 to 24).

Designed to gently hug your figure, it features a round neckline and long sleeves, making it an ideal transitional buy. Simply dress it down with loafers for the day or glam it up with heels for the evening.

In her video, Trinny describes her knitted dress as "profoundly comfortable", saying: "I feel bendy in it [...] and joyful most of all".

Trinny has paired her statement dress with big white sunglasses, a pink and red striped shopper from Scott-Samuel ("I just love a double stripe"), and casual white trainers. Makeup-wise, she's opted for a shimmering eye and "a pop of pink Lip2Cheek on the lips".

Let's hope Trinny and Chloe are prepared to be stopped circa one million times and asked where their dresses are from, because we're totally obsessed...
