I Tried Kraft’s New Limited-Edition Mac & Cheese, and I Totally Get Why People Are Already Pre-Ordering Boxes
When it comes to bagels, I’m choosing an everything bagel every time. It’s got just the right blend of salty, savory, garlicky, and oniony flavor that shines with a simple smear of butter or whipped cream cheese. I’m obviously not the only one who feels this way.
Everything bagel seasoning mix has skyrocketed in popularity over the past few years. Nowadays most retailers are selling their own version of the blend for us to sprinkle on practically everything: truffle popcorn, classic stuffing, pigs in a blanket, and even breakfast pasta (try it!). That fervor in the spice aisle has spilled over to many other sections in the grocery store — including boxed mac and cheese.
You heard it here first! Kraft just dropped a new limited-edition Everything Bagel Mac and Cheese. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few samples ahead of the launch (work perks!) and, let me tell you, it doesn’t disappoint.
What You Should Know About Kraft Everything Bagel Mac and Cheese
Following the launch of not one but two really good new flavors, the team at Kraft is now combining its creamy, cheesy mac with an (almost) everything seasoning blend. The iconic blue box contains the classic macaroni and a packet of cheese powder mixed with dehydrated garlic and onion, poppy seeds, and salt. All that’s missing is the sesame seeds.
Boxes of the limited-edition Kraft Everything Bagel Mac and Cheese hit shelves just in time for those post-Thanksgiving eats (when you can’t be bothered to cook or don’t feel like eating anymore leftovers). There’s only about 15,000 boxes, which are currently available for presale (similar to concert tickets or book launches). You can snag one (or three!) online at Walmart; they’ll ship to shoppers on November 29, which is the same day they go on general sale.

My Honest Review of Kraft Everything Bagel Mac and Cheese
I’m a big Kraft Mac fan. Growing up, my sisters and I often spent our summers making it for lunch, in part, because it was the only thing we knew how to cook. Nowadays, I like to upgrade a box of mac and cheese with garlic powder, a crispy panko breadcrumb topping, or even just a sprinkling of cheddar cheese (the cheesier the better, amirite?!). While I’ve never topped my mac with everything bagel seasoning, I couldn’t see how it would go wrong.
Once the noodles finished boiling, I opened up the cheese packet and could smell the garlicky flavor bursting through. I prepared it according to the package instructions, adding a splash of milk and pat of butter before mixing in the seasoned cheese packet. Once it was all evenly mixed, I scooped some into a bowl and dug in.
It was SO good and satisfying. The little bits of spice clung to the pasta, providing just a hint of crunch and a ton of flavor. It was oniony and garlicky and slightly salty in a way that completely complemented the cheesy sauce. In fact, the spices and the cheese sauce melded beautifully together — just make sure you thoroughly mix the seasoning so it evenly disperses throughout (otherwise it can clump).
Could I make this on my own by combining a plain ol’ boxed mac and cheese with a sprinkling of everything bagel seasoning? Sure. But I like that Kraft has taken that extra step out of the cooking equation. This might even become my new favorite breakfast.
