So, can you spot where the lead is hiding? It's challenging to make headway with the image, and it might seem like there's nothing but carpet in the photo. But rest assured, the lead is there somewhere.

If you're having a bit of trouble, don't give up just yet! We're about to reveal the solution so halt your scrolling if you want to crack this one on your own.

Answer

Here's where the sneaky pencil lead is lurking: slightly above the centre of the image. Zoom in and head to the middle of the snap; you'll spot the lead sitting slightly to the left, at around the 11 o'clock position, resembling a stick of lead you'd load into a mechanical pencil.

If you were particularly sharp-eyed, there was another hidden item - a staple that seems to be resting across from the centre at roughly 2 o'clock.

The post has had commenters sharing varied success levels in locating the elusive items. One person exclaimed: "Somehow, I was able to see it before I even opened up the picture. My first time finding something without looking at the comments!" Meanwhile, another chuffed commenter stated: "Can't believe I found it. That's some loud carpet, looks like TV static."
