A Tribute to the Excellent 'Hunger Games' Press Tour Fashion
If you've missed seeing fashion off the runway and on red carpets, "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" has you in for a treat. After over 100 days of SAG-AFTRA being on strike, a deal has been made and actors are back to promoting their movies. Not only do audiences now get to immerse themselves in the Hollywood world again, admiring the personalities and quirks of actors in press junkets and appearances, but we also get to once again admire stars' fashion choices.
"The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" is the first major blockbuster since the strike to offer up an extravagant series of promotional events. Plus, with the series' four previous films filled with endless inspiring and memorable visuals, there's plenty of room for the franchise's new generation to call on some nostalgia.
To kick off the epic press tour, leading lady Rachel Zegler and stylist Sarah Slutsky Tooley referenced a look from "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," where Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen wears a transformative, firey gown. Though no real fire was involved, a black Alexander McQueen look from Fall 2023 and Chopard jewels got the job done.
Hunter Schafer, who plays the role of stylist Tigris Snow, has also chosen to embody her character IRL. From Schiaparelli Couture to multiple Maison Margiela looks, Schafer is certainly proving her high-fashion proficiency, with many thanks to stylist Dara Allen.
