The coronation of King Charles III is just around the corner, on Saturday 6 May 2023. And whatever you're doing to celebrate, make it fabulous with some simple craft ideas like these cute Beefeater place settings made from pegs.

If you're hosting a street party to celebrate King Charles, this is the perfect make for you. Ensure every guest knows where to sit – and decorate your table – with these adorable Beefeater name pegs. Clip each guest's name to the peg – or clip the pegs to your napkins as a decoration.

These pegs are so easy to make and no previous crafting experience is required. Just make sure you leave your pegs to dry overnight before you use them to avoid the paint rubbing off on your guests' fingers!

How to make Beefeater place setting

Step 1

Paint the middle section of the peg red and each end black. Keep in mind that the Beefeater's feet need to be the end of the peg with the clip.

Step 2

Paint on two white dots for eyes into the centre of the pegs and then add two black dots in the middle of those.

Step 3

In the centre of the red section, draw three dots using the gold acrylic pen. These will be the Beefeater's jacket buttons. Clip the name card into the bottom of the peg.
