Trader Joe’s Recalls Nuts Due to Potential for Salmonella
If you’ve bought cashews at Trader Joe’s recently, check if they’re under current recall due to possible salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported yet, but a routine test by the FDA found the presence of salmonella in at least one of the recalled lots.
The FDA’s recall page announced that Wenders LLC of Dublin, CA is recalling some lots of Trader Joe’s nuts, specifically the 50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews. The recalled product was sold at Trader Joe’s in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Louisana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennesee, Texas, Utah, and Washington.
How to Identify Trader Joe’s Recalled Cashews
The recalled plastic pouches of 50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews with SKU number 37884 can be identified by the country of origin, India or Vietnam, and the following lot numbers:
“Lot No:” printed on the back panel of the plastic pouches Trader Joe’s Nuts – 50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews (SKU Number – 37884)
Lot No# T12139 with the Best Before Date: Feb 21, 2025
Lot No# T12140 with the Best Before Date: Mar 01, 2025
