TOWIE's Saffron opens up on Ella Rae Wise and Amber Turner 'feud'
Saffron Lempriere has found herself in the middle of drama on the latest season of TOWIE, which saw chaos brew when Dan Edgar and Ella Rae Wise embarked on a romance, to the dismay of Dan's recent ex Amber Turner.
Giving her opinion on the situation during an exclusive chat with OK!, Saffron admitted that she has recently made up with Amber after years of animosity, leaving her in the middle of her pal Ella and Amber.
The 31-year-old shared: "Me and Amber [Turner, Dan’s ex-girlfriend] have just settled our differences after many years, so I see both sides. But Ella’s really happy and hasn’t done anything wrong. Whatever people think of Amber, it’s under her nose, so you can see why it’s tough, but Dan says that she did him wrong too. I’m friends with all of them, so you’ve just got to see it for what it is – but who knows what will happen?"
Amber and Dan were together for six years but parted ways in May last year, and even had drama with Ella during the relationship, who claimed that Dan touched her inappropriately during a night out in Essex while he was with Amber.
After splitting from Amber, Dan then grew close to Ella during the two recent series of the ITVBe show.
Speaking to OK! about his romance with Ella, Dan said it explained that it “naturally happened” while they were filming for the show. He said: “We were away together – two of the only single people on the show. It has just naturally happened. If you get on with someone and you find them attractive, then it is going to happen."
Following the drama, it was widely reported that Amber had walked away from TOWIE, with sources claiming that she was swapping the UK for Dubai, something which she has now denied. Confirming this, Saffron said: "Amber hasn’t left TOWIE, though. There were a lot of things in the press saying that she has, but she hasn’t."
The most recent series of TOWIE saw the show bringing in sky-high viewership, something which Saffron puts down the the team behind the scenes. She said: "It’s been a different but good series.
"We’ve got different characters, friendship groups and dynamics. We’ve had some amazing ratings, which is really nice. I put that down to us having amazing executives at the moment.
"We’ve always had good execs, but now they want to hear our stories and are conscious of people’s feelings, too. So trust has been built between the cast and the team, which means we are making great reality TV."
