'On top of the world' GK Barry update on secret girlfriend as she reveals she's 'wifed up'
TikTok star GK Barry has given fans an update on her love life just weeks after revealing that she was dating a female footballer.
The 24 year old podcast star, who rose to fame in 2020, revealed on her Saving Grace podcast on Wednesday, 1 May that she was “in love” and “off the market” after three weeks of dating - though kept tight-lipped when it came to the identity of the person in question.
And now, while attending the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards, GK Barry has given a hint about who she is dating during a red carpet interview with OK!.
Speaking at the event on Sunday, 12 May, the social media star revealed that she was feeling “on top of the world” as she joined the likes of Olivia Bowen, Maura Higgins and Laura Anderson on the red carpet.
“I can’t believe I’m here. I love it. I’m ready for the free bar and my feet hurt. That’s about it,” she said.
She added: “I’ve been hungover all week. I wouldn’t suggest it to anybody, but that is what I’ve been doing but I had a Berocca and a prosecco and now I feel great. I feel on top of the world.”
When asked about her love life, GK Barry kept har cards close to her chest as she explained: “I am a WAG. I'm wifed up and that's it, and she's got eyelashes.”
GK Barry also revealed that she’d met her mystery girlfriend through a mutual friend and, when asked how serious her relationship was, continued: “I'd say if she spoke to anyone else, I'd go to jail. That’s where we’re at.”
The podcast host’s red carpet interview comes after she spoke to OK! in November 2023 about her career ambitions and opened up about her desires to do more work on the small screen.
“I'd absolutely love to do more TV. I want to be Alan Carr but with breasts! His old talk show, Alan Carr: Chatty Man, is the vibe that I'd actually love. I think a presenting job like that is the ultimate end goal for me,” she said.
Since rising to fame, Grace’s work in the podcasting world has seen her interview the likes of Alison Hammond and Katie Price, and she also appeared on Don't Look Down for Stand Up To Cancer.
“Going on to the show, I went in blind and didn't get any tips, because I didn't really know anyone who had done a show like this before. I'm not sure whether that was a good or bad thing,” she explained, speaking of her time on the show.
