Todd Snyder, Fanatics Create Elevated Fan Gear for NHL
Todd Snyder is expanding his relationship with Fanatics by creating an elevated collection of fan apparel for the National Hockey League.
In December, the designer teamed with the National Football League and Fanatics to create the Todd Snyder + NFL Collection, a limited-edition premium assortment for the New York Giants, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. That collection included cashmere coaches’ jackets and rugby shirts, sweaters and sweatshirts along with oversize fleece hoodies and mock neck shirts.

The Todd Snyder by Fanatics for NHL assortment has a similar aesthetic and features cashmere sweatshirts, Canadian fleece full-zips, hoodies and other products, each sporting the logo of a team. For the initial drop, 12 teams will be featured: the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings, Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs, Utah Hockey Club and the Vancouver Canucks.
The plan is to eventually include offer merchandise for all the 32 teams.
A campaign introducing the collection will feature Mike Richter, a former New York Rangers star, Stanley Cup champion and U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer, alongside current Rangers forward and rising star Will Cuylle.
“This continued partnership with Fanatics is a natural extension of my love for blurring the lines between luxury and sport,” Snyder said. “We’ve taken classic fan gear and reinvented it with luxe materials and modern tailoring, from Italian cashmere rugby shirts to Canadian fleece knitwear. It’s about celebrating team spirit with a sense of refinement.
“Hockey is a sport I’ve always loved to watch, and I’ve always admired how it has some of the most stylish and tailored players in sports. Partnering with Fanatics and the NHL was a natural choice,” he added.
Joe Monahan, president of Fanatics Brands, believes the collection will appeal to the NHL’s “incredibly passionate fans in several of the preeminent hockey markets…looking for more unique options to fill out their wardrobes on game days and beyond.”
The Todd Snyder by Fanatics for NHL collection will be available starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday on the Fanatics and NHL websites as well as select NHL team store locations including Madison Square Garden. An edited selection will also be available at the Todd Snyder e-commerce site.
