Tinder user's list of strict dating rules for women sparks backlash online

Tinder is the go-to dating app for love-seeking millennials across the globe but you may want to think twice before swiping right.

A woman was so shocked by one man’s profile that she shared a screenshot of his strict dating demands via Twitter, alongside the caption: “I thought I’d give Tinder a go but honestly, it’s fully put me off dating.”

The image shows an underwear-clad ‘Kirk’ from Essex wearing his trousers around his ankles with a list of three strict rules to consider if you want to date him.

“Rule 1, I don’t want to be a step dad so no kids unless u have just one – I want my OWN thanks,” his profile reads [sic]. “Rule 2, If you date black Boys or think about it don’t even text me. Rule 3 – I don’t want a time waster or someone who is a bum… go make your own money you lazy f**ks.”

In a bid to entice potential matches, he also adds that he owns a German Shepherd dog and a two-bedroom flat.

“Good luck girls,” he concluded the profile.

Understandably, it didn’t take long for social media users to offer their thoughts on the divisive ad with the now-viral tweet garnering over 2,6000 retweets.

One Twitter user took to the post to express their relief at no longer having to date in the digital era while another vowed to show their relatives his profile when repeatedly asked why she’s still single.

His controversial set of dating rules also proved a talking point over in the Twittersphere with one suggesting: “Maybe drop the rules instead of the pants, Kirk”.
