Timothée Chalamet, 23, has been named the best-dressed man in the world.
The accolade was given by British men’s magazine GQ. The youngster topping the list of 50 men, which included the likes of Brad Pitt, David Beckham and Keanu Reeves.
The Call Me By Your Name star’s bold sartorial statements have definitely caught worldwide attention this year.
Embellished harnesses, leather trousers and sparkly hoodies have seen Chalamet join the likes of Harry Styles and Ezra Miller as a rising male star who isn’t afraid to experiment on the red carpet.
Earlier this month Lyst’s Year in Fashion report also revealed Chalamet as an influential fashion icon. The actor coming second to Meghan Markle as the most powerful dresser of 2019.
The report also revealed a few of Chalamet’s most talked-about ensembles of the year.
His embellished Louis Vuitton bib from the Golden Globes in January was his breakout look of the year.
The ensemble was followed by another Virgil Abloh design, this time a sparkly sequin hoodie, which he wore to the UK premiere of The King. The glittery loungewear sparked a 192% rise in searches for men’s hoodies.
The menswear trailblazer has also shone a spotlight on numerous more unknown designers this year. A statement metallic suit by Haider Ackermann, which he wore at Venice Film Festival saw a 806% spike in searches for the French brand.
