Tilly Ramsay 'grateful' to be saved after shock Strictly Come Dancing dance-off

Tilly Ramsay is feeling "grateful" to still be competing in Strictly Come Dancing after finding herself in the dance-off for the first time.

Viewers were shocked on Sunday when the Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch presenter, the daughter of chef Gordon Ramsay, and her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin ended up in the bottom two alongside Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and Katya Jones.

Three of the four judges opted to save Tilly and Nikita, and the TV personality, who turned 20 on Monday, took to Instagram after the results show aired to express how grateful she is to be continuing her Strictly journey.

"What an emotional rollercoaster… WOW, even though I always knew this might happen, it's definitely very hard to be in a dance-off!!" she wrote on Instagram. "I'm so grateful to still be here another week and to have the opportunity to learn another dance. I’m definitely not ready to go yet!! I'm going to continue, pushing myself and giving it my all to make my next dance the very best.

"Thank you @bbcstrictly for another great week I feel very honoured that I can come back and compete again!! @nikita__kuzmin thank you again for your amazing teaching and support can't wait for another week with you."

She also praised her dance-off opponent Adam, calling him "an inspiration" and sharing that she was "so sad to see you go".

Following his exit, the athlete wrote a lengthy Instagram post about his Strictly experience and gave a shout out to Tilly.

"I'm so grateful for my time on this show, from the highs of performing in front of millions and the extreme challenge of learning a new routine within 3 days every week, it's been incredible," he added. "@tillyramsay you were incredible and I'm so glad you get to show how much of an amazing dancer you are again next week!"
