TikToker Shares Genius 'Burrito' Method for Easily Changing a Duvet Cover

TikTokers are praising the hack as a simple way to change duvet covers when you're doing it solo

Sometimes the simplest life hacks can make the biggest difference.

TikTokers have found a way to make life easier for home design fanatics who love a good duvet set. Videos of the "roll-up method," also known as the "burrito method," show how to easily swap out duvet covers without finding yourself wrestling with a comforter or insert.

In one video, TikToker Julie Sousa, known as @the_avantgarde, demonstrates how it works. First, the comforter needs to be laid out flat on the bed or wherever else you have the space to do so.

Next, you can see Sousa attach the corners of the duvet cover to the comforter. Once they're secured, she rolls the duvet up from bottom to top, burrito-style.

Once it's rolled up, she stuffs the blanket into the cover, with close-ups showing how exactly to pull off the hack. Then, she simply grabs one end and shakes it out to evenly distribute the duvet, laying it on a flat surface to smooth out any lumps.

"I’ve been crawling inside of mine this whole time 😅💀," one commenter admitted.

Another commenter tried the easy method and was floored, writing, "WHAT MAGIC IS THIS?? 😱"

A commenter who's familiar with the method warned, "This is what I do. It works better with some covers than others 🥰."

Another creator, @mama_mila_, also gave the method her seal of approval. "The 'burrito roll' doona / duvet trick that helps save so much time! Say goodbye to getting lost inside your doona cover and messy corners 👋."
