Those Saint Laurent rhinestone boots already have a serious waiting list
This season's highly coveted Saint Laurent rhinestone boots might come with a five-figure price tag, but that hasn't stopped them from amassing a sizeable waitlist.
According to WWD, the sparkly boots, made from over 3,000 rhinestones per shoe, are set to retail for $10,000 (about £8,000) – and shoppers can't get enough.
Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman have reportedly already had to put customers on a waitlist, with Saks revealing its had "many" requests for the boots.
"At Saint Laurent, the crystal diamanté slouchy boot had such an emotional response to it," Saks' senior vice president, fashion director, Roopal Patel, told WWD. "There's something to be said about glitz and glamour - it's the boot of the season."
The boots were most recently worn by Rihanna, who snagged a pair as soon as they stepped off the runway. The singer posted a snap of herself wearing the boots, captioning it simply, "Presh out da runway". The picture has since had 1.2 million likes.
Considering slouchy boots are the "must-have" item of the season, we can probably expect plenty of other celebrities to follow in Rihanna's sparkly footsteps soon.
