This $15 L’Oréal wrinkle cream has been dubbed an anti-aging 'miracle worker' — so I put it to the test
I'm almost 50 and I tried Amazon's viral L’Oréal Paris Wrinkle Expert Anti-Fine Line Moisturizer — is it worth the money?
As a self-proclaimed skincare addict in my late 40s, I’m all about collagen-containing products that revive my menopausal skin — especially when they're affordable. One of my favourites is the Wrinkle Expert 35+ Anti-Aging Day & Night Moisturizing Cream from L’Oréal Paris. As a fan of the brand's Age Perfect Toner and Revitalift Derm Intensives Line Plumping Water Cream, I'm happy to report that its Wrinkle Expert cream goes a long way in improving the appearance of my tired, dry skin. This "Amazon's Choice" day-and-night anti-aging moisturizer is designed for people over 35 and comes in a 50ml glass jar. Formulated with collagen, a key component in maintaining skin firmness, this rich cream works 24 hours a day to help improve skin elasticity as well as visibly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Made without colourants and mineral oils, this non-greasy hydrating formula has been tested by dermatologists and is ideal for even the most sensitive of skin.
After your first application, the skin on your face and neck will feel smoother and appear more supple. Within 30 days of continuous use, expect to see an improvement in overall skin elasticity, and those pesky fine lines will be less visible.
While it's advertised as unscented, the cream does contain a light fragrance.
What I like about it
It's fast absorbing: The cream goes on smooth and absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving my face and neck looking visibly more hydrated.
It's designed for mature skin: As I've gotten older, I've noticed that the products made specifically for my age work the best for me, and thus, I tend to stick with the longest. They aren't kidding when they say it provides 24 hours of moisture. I have left the house wearing only this and sunscreen on my face, and hours later, my skin still feels and looks hydrated.

Room for improvement
It's definitely not unscented: I like the fresh scent, but I know people who are more sensitive to fragrance might not love this cream.
Wrinkle expert? The jury is still out: When I wear this cream, my skin is immediately more hydrated. I guess it kind of softens the lines on my forehead and neck, but the change isn't as visible as I had hoped. Maybe with more time, I will be able to notice a more significant difference.

The scent was an issue for one shopper who said the "very fragranced" cream "burned" their eyes, even when they applied it nowhere near them. They also didn't love how the scent "lingered around" well after applying.
A shopper in their 30s said they have been using the cream consistently morning and night and have seen a "noticeable difference." Their skin feels "plump," and there is a "softening" of wrinkles. They prefer applying while the skin is still damp for added moisture.
The verdict
This rich, hydrating anti-aging cream absorbs immediately and leaves my face feeling revived. Wrinkle expert? Perhaps. Skin expert? Absolutely. With its 24-hour hydration, I'm excited to have added this "superhero" moisturizer to my regular rotation. But keep in mind, it's not unscented, so if you aren't a fan of fragrance, you may not be as happy with this product as I am.
