A grandmother from Taiwan has gone viral after accidentally using her £900 Louis Vuitton bag to carry groceries.

On a Chinese social media network, one user revealed how he had bought his grandmother an expensive new bag. The next time he saw her, he was “speechless” to see she was using the designer item to carry fresh fish.

She told him the new bag was extremely waterproof but slightly heavy for her. Her grandson didn’t have the heart to tell her her mistake after seeing how happy the bag had made her.

Louis Vuitton’s Neverfull handbag retails for around £900 and is highly sought after in Asia.

The post has since been liked over 30,000 times with people labelling the elderly woman as “the most fashionable person at the market.”

Another person brought up the rumour that Louis Vuitton suitcases survived the sinking of the Titanic, commenting: “No wonder LV bag has such a good reputation; it can last really long and is very durable!”
