Thanksgiving Day 2024: Which stores will be open this year?
If you really want to beat the Black Friday rush, these 18 stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day.
While most of us will be napping off the second round of sides we decided to indulge in on Thanksgiving Day, there are others who prefer getting a head start on their Black Friday shopping. If that's your annual tradition (we aren't judging), you'll be thrilled to know that we've got a list of stores that'll be open this holiday.
Most retailers are locking the doors Wednesday evening and won't reopen until early Friday morning. But some are keeping reduced Thanksgiving hours on Thursday, Nov. 28, in case you run out of milk or need to get out of the house to avoid family members discussing politics.

Are liquor stores open on Thanksgiving?
Many liquor stores — including Binny's and BevMo — tend to keep their lights on for a limited set of hours on Thanksgiving Day, but it depends on location. If you live in Connecticut and run out of wine, you're out of luck because alcohol sales aren't allowed on Thanksgiving Day, and it's not the only state following this rule. But if you live in California, you should be able to find an open liquor store on Thanksgiving Day, or at least no law prevents it. Be sure to check ahead of time, or just stock up in the days leading up to the holiday.
