Terry's Chocolate Orange takes on a Crème Egg and here's why it's even better than the original
It may only be February, but here at Good Housekeeping we are already in the thick of Easter.
We've seen lots of delicious product launches from some of our favourite brands (namely the rise of pistachio Easter eggs which, spoiler alert, taste incredible) but if you're more a fan of the returning classics like a Cadbury Crème Egg, you'll be very excited to learn that Terry's Chocolate Orange have just released their own version, and it definitely rivals Cadbury!
Chocolate Orange Creme Egg
We had a chance to try this new product and here's what our Senior Food & Drink Writer, Mel Giandzi, had to say about it.
"It has that signature smell you'd expect from a Terry's Chocolate Orange with its intense but natural orange aroma, and creamy milk chocolate. I'm not typically a Cadbury Creme Egg lover, but as soon as I took a bite out of this version, I knew this rivalled the original (sorry Cadbury).
The inside is filled with a smooth and sweet orange cream that pairs perfectly with the creamy chocolate. It isn't too sweet or sickly, but a well balanced mix of sweet, creamy and zesty".
Terry’s Chocolate, famed for its iconic Chocolate Orange Ball (which we all love at Christmas time), has kicked off a nationwide ‘battle of the Easter eggs’ with its first ever cream filled egg, with the aim to build on its previous Easter success and give fans a chance to get their Terry’s Chocolate Orange fix beyond Christmas.

The Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cream Filled Egg retails for £0.70p for 34g (slightly smaller than a Cadbury Crème Egg) and is available across all major retailers.
The new zesty treat is being joined by two more new Easter additions; the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Easter egg with Exploding Candy Minis (£1.35 for 91g) and the exclusive to Tesco, marvellously-minty XL Terry’s Chocolate Mint Easter Egg (£6 for 295g) which comes following the huge two-year success of the XL Terry’s Chocolate Orange Exploding Candy Easter egg in Tesco.
