Taylor Swift Revealed Her Nickname For Travis Kelce With New Friendship Bracelet
Taylor Swift wore a friendship bracelet that revealed her nickname for boyfriend Travis Kelce.
The bracelet is from Missouri-based jewelry brand Erimish, and says "Trav" in red and white letters.
Swifties can buy their own friendship bracelet online for $21.
Taylor Swift spent her actual birthday away from Travis Kelce, but he was in her heart—and on her wrist. Photos of Taylor at Kansas City, Missouri’s Christmas bar with Travis last Sunday revealed she is now wearing a new friendship bracelet with her nickname for him on it, Trav. Fans theorized that was Swift’s nickname for him earlier this month when they tried to lipread her cheers for him.
Missouri-based jewelry brand Erimish confirmed that Taylor got the piece from them on Instagram and shared that fans could order their own.
It’s an especially sweet nod to Travis because in addition to flaunting his team colors, it also pays homage to how Travis tried to make a move on her in the first place: by giving her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at her Kansas City Eras tour concert.
Taylor was first seen wearing a bracelet with his jersey number on October 22 before upgrading to his nickname.
Taylor spoke more about how she felt about Travis’ first public gesture in her interview with Time released last week. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast [New Heights, where he told the bracelet story], which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
Additionally, a source explained to Entertainment Tonight why Travis couldn’t make it to Taylor’s New York City 34th birthday celebration. The answer was pretty obvious: He had work, being in the middle of the Kansas City Chiefs’ NFL season.
“[He] remains committed to playing his best and doing his best on and off the field,” the source said. “The team practices are critical, mandatory to attend, and something he takes very seriously. So, it’s no surprise he stayed in Kansas City ahead of this weekend’s game.”
