If you’ve even just glanced at an NFL game within the past two years, there’s a good chance you saw Taylor Swift onscreen. The pop singer is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce—which has resulted in a phenomenon called “The Swift Effect,” leading some to believe that her presence at games alone increases the NFL’s ratings.

As for Kelce, the future Hall of Famer will make his fifth Super Bowl appearance in the past six years this Sunday. So you can bet that Swift will be in the stands. But if you ask Swifties, there’s also a chance that she finds her way to the stage.

Now, I don’t believe that Kendrick Lamar secured his own Super Bowl halftime show just to perform “Bad Blood (Remix)” with Taylor Swift, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating that it'll happen. The 14-time Grammy Award winner will be in the building, after all! Why not join Lamar for a song? “I mean, we gotta have Kendrick Lamar + Taylor Swift Bad Blood performance at halftime!” one fan wrote on X. “It’s only fitting.”

If you ask Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes—and someone did, of course—he just can’t see the pop star taking the field on Sunday. “As long as Trav’s playing and we’re in the Super Bowl, it’s going to be hard for her to do the halftime show,” Mahomes told a reporter last Tuesday. “So hopefully Trav keeps playing and we keep making it to the Super Bowl.”

Sorry, Swifties—I’m sure that Swift will headline her own Super Bowl extravaganza in the future. There has not been any official news from the NFL that Swift will perform at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show. SZA is the only guest announced so far. Jon Batiste is scheduled to sing the national anthem, while Post Malone will perform at the pregame tailgate show.

The real question that fans should ask themselves this weekend is: Will Travis Kelce propose to Taylor Swift if the Chiefs win? “Wouldn’t you like to know,” Kelce coyly responded to press at a Super Bowl event in New Orleans on Monday. Yes, Travis. We would!
