Taylor Russell’s See-Through Corset Gown Is A Modern Bride’s Dream
Taylor Russell is digging into the archives for the Venice Film Festival, and we’re in total fashion heaven.
While we can always expect a number of high-profile films to make their debut at the glamorous Italian event, the Festival is also an opportunity for the biggest stars to bring award-worthy looks. And while we’re still only on day one, Russell kicked things off in style and set the bar high with her vintage looks.

The Canadian actor attended the premiere of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice yesterday evening, in a heavenly white gown pulled from the Chanel spring/summer 1993 couture collection.
Up top, the gown featured a corset-style bodice that was entirely see-through. However, it featured a plastic translucent shell that added an opaque element, to make the piece perfect for black-tie dressing. The edges and stitching of the bodice were painted with thick white lines, while the cups were decorated with abstract plants in the shape of palm leaves.
The drama of the look really arrived with the skirt, though, which featured a long, bridal-style train that billowed behind Russell in a semicircle. While the bottom part of the skirt maintained the silhouette from above, the midpoint of the dress added a stylistic twist—with a fabulously large bubble skirt that resembled a pearly white cloud.
This statement-making skirt was also decorated with the same leafy designs featured on the bodice, and Russell (with the help of her stylist, Jahleel Weaver) made the look entirely monochromatic, adding a white bangle and sparkly Tiffany & Co. jewellery.
