SZA postpones Toronto concert due to vocal issues

SZA postponed her concert in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday night due to issues with her voice.

The Kill Bill singer, real name Solána Rowe, announced in an Instagram video hours before her show that she was unable to sing to her usual standard during sound check at the Scotiabank Arena.

"I just tried to do sound check, I sound terrible," she stated. "I only want to give you guys 100 per cent and that's what you deserve and I won't give you less than that. I promise you I will come back Toronto and make it up, I'm so sorry. I wanted to push through very much, I'm on as much dexamethasone (medication) as one can be on, and I love you and I promise you I'll be back. I tried, I came, I got in hair and makeup and all the things. I love you and I'm really sorry."

In the caption of the video, which has since been deleted, the 33-year-old added, "U didn't come to see me at 20% n hear other ppl sing from the crowd..u came to see the FULL SHOW!!! ... I promise to give y'all EVERYTHING I got when I come back (sic)."

In the comments, Drake, her Slime You Out collaborator, asked to be her opening act for the rescheduled date.

"We gon do that s**t together when you come back lemme open for you," he wrote.

SZA has yet to announce the new date for her Toronto show.

She is next scheduled to perform at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Friday and Saturday night as part of her SOS Tour.
