Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick in tears on This Morning as he gets emotional update live on air
Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick was left in tears on Tuesday's This Morning as he got an update on a dog who he performed surgery on after a horror car accident. The TV vet, 56, was on the ITV show to talk to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard about his new autobiography, Dogs and Their Humans: Stories of Healing and Hope from the Supervet's Surgery.
Noel was surprised when he was given an update on a dog, Bailey, who he operated on back in December 2022, as a sweet video was shown. In the video, the dog owner, called Vivian, said: "Hi Noel, Bailey and I are so pleased to have this opportunity to thank you once again for making our Christmas 2022 complete. After Bailey was hit by a car, giving horrendous injuries two weeks before Christmas, you operated him on your birthday and saved his leg from amputation.
"You are an amazing man and we are so grateful. As you can see, Bailey is fit and well and enjoying life thanks to you. Merry Christmas, love Bailey and I."

Ben said "that’s magic" as Cat said: "That was Vivian and that was Bailey, and there was a terrible accident, and you managed to sort it out."
Noel was visibly overcome with emotion after watching the heartwarming clip and put his head in his hands. He said: "That was so sweet, so sweet, oh my goodness thank you! I remember vividly, it was my birthday and I couldn't ask for a better birthday present than to give Bailey his life back."
He sweetly added: "Aren't I blessed to have all these dogs in my life. I'm the one who's honoured, thank you."
Sharing his excitement about his new book back in June, Noel wrote: "I am very excited to announce that I have a new book coming out this autumn... Dogs and their Humans.
"Over the years in my consulting room I have seen the very best that humanity has to offer and often in the very worst of circumstances. This book is a collection of stories from my practice which show how dogs make us the best we can be. I cannot wait to share it with you!"
Back in July, The Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood thanked TV Noel for saving the life of his cat.
In a post on Instagram, Hollywood wrote: “I do hope football’s coming home Sunday.
“But our cat came home today, after she suffered horrific injuries, and it’s all down to @profnoelfitzpatrick and his team that she’s alive… Thankyou Thankyou to you all.”
