Supersonic Plane Twice As Fast As Concorde Could Ferry Passengers From London To New York In 80 Minutes
Could this aircraft be the future of flying? Designs have been unveiled for an astonishing new plane that could ferry passengers from London to New York in just 80 minutes. Created by Spanish designer Oscar Viñals, the Hyper Sting concept would travel at phenomenal speeds of 2,468mph almost twice as fast as the Concorde. Measuring 328ft, the Hyper Sting would be over a 100ft longer than Concorde, and have a wider wingspan of 169ft with Concorde previously having a wingspan of 85ft. Plans are for the aircraft to be able to carry up to 170 passengers sitting in two rows of three. With a sleek design focusing on comfort, it's hoped the plane would be able to fly across the world quietly, efficiently and at incredible speeds. The incredible aircraft would be able to travel at more than three times the speed of sound. Oscar believes long-haul flights will become shorter as technology develops and advances in engineering will see trips cut down dramatically
