Suki Waterhouse looks like a '70s rockstar in a fur coat and shorts
Don’t call her Goldilocks, because Suki Waterhouse clearly prefers the fashion extremes.
The singer-songwriter was spotted out and about in the Big Apple on Monday afternoon, where she combatted the cold weather with a giant faux fur coat, intriguingly paired with some mini cut-off denim shorts.
As proven by some of our favourite stylish stars, like Rihanna and Elle Fanning, it’s the season of the fluffy fur coat, and Waterhouse is certainly on board, as she’s been spotted wearing a couple during these past few weeks.
The latest iteration from Isabel Marant, which she wore this week, made a strong statement; made of faux fur that resembled a fox’s pelt, it featured alternating stripes of auburn, white and russet.
The voluminous outerwear cut off right around Waterhouse’s hips, and it didn’t appear to have any sort of fastener, so it hung open—revealing her small tan tee and cut-off denim shorts underneath. Waterhouse likely didn’t freeze, though, because she paired the look with a set of opaque black tights.

As she walked down the street, the Supersad singer looked like she’d just left the set of her Prime Video series Daisy Jones & The Six, in which she portrayed a member of a Seventies rock band named Karen Sirko.
Aside from her tights, Waterhouse really sold the rockstar vibe with her inky leather accessories, which consisted of ankle cowboy boots, also from Isabel Marant, and a medium-sized bag, which she draped across her shoulder. Finally, she rounded out the look with a set of oval-shaped sunglasses, which couldn’t help but scream cool. The truth is, Waterhouse doesn’t need to play a rockstar on TV, because she is one in real life.
