The stunning new street of houses in a Welsh seaside village which is not all it appears to be
If come across this row of 15 new houses constructed above the coast in the charming village of Aberporth you might not realise that they are arguably distinctive in a number ways, and not just the lovely location, walking distance to the beach and the eye-catching exterior design.
The homes are part of the Longshore development, a high-quality scheme of just 15 houses, situated above the award-winning Aberporth beach and walking distance to the sandy shore and the core of the village.
Developed by niche housebuilder, Evermôr, which specialises in bringing design-led, sustainably focused homes into extraordinary locations, Longshore was launched as part of a pilot scheme by Welsh Government designed to help local people to buy in their area.

Three of the homes were sold to local key workers within the affordable market, while under the scheme, known as Fair Chance, the remaining 12 homes were marketed exclusively to local buyers for a fixed period of 6 months. The opportunity attracted considerable interest and over 50 per cent of the homes were sold to local people and those with local connections.
The seven remaining homes are now being made available to all on the open market. They include four bedroom properties priced from £545,000. All homes boast high-specification finishes, including underfloor heating, award-winning Welsh manufactured Sigma 3 kitchens with integrated Neff appliances, a pantry and a Juliet balcony overlooking the garden.
Outside the facilities include off-road parking, cold water outdoor showers and a view out over the Ceredigion coast to the sea and the horizon with just the weather and wildlife, hedgerows and treetops adding to the captivating view.
Accommodation is set over three floors, and the layouts are spacious and inverted so that the open- plan kitchen, living and dining space sits on the first floor, taking full advantage of the impressive coastal views. Air source heat pumps power the homes, while optional electric vehicle charging points are available.
Leighton Morgans from Evermôr, said: “We are excited to be able to present to the public this spectacular development, situated on the edge of the beach at Aberporth, which presents the opportunity to purchase one of these fantastic new homes and to enjoy the benefits of living on the coast of this wonderful West Wales village.”
Claire Turner, head of Savills Residential Development Sales in Wales, commented: “Longshore is an exceptional development, beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail, and set in the most stunning location above the golden sands of Aberporth Beach.
“Aberporth itself is an incredibly sought-after West Wales village, nestled along the Ceredigion coastal path, with a vibrant food and drink scene, as well as its renowned beaches. This scheme will hold great appeal among those looking to make the beautiful Welsh coast their home.”
Aberporth is a picturesque village nestled along the beautiful Ceredigion coastal path. This seaside village offers an impressive selection of pubs, cafés, bars, and restaurants in addition to well-renowned beaches and pristine coastline.
Ceredigion was named the ‘Best Place to Live’ in Wales by the Sunday Times in its 2025 guide released in December. The publication looked at a range of measures including crime, education and healthcare, along with average house prices, with Ceredigion topping the list.
